Groundbreaking aerospace fastener made manufacturable through co-development partnership.

A leading aerospace fastener provider approached MICRO with a conceptual design for a revolutionary fastening product known as the “Rivetless Nutplate.” The part presented challenges in terms of both geometry and material selection that would stretch the limits of existing metalforming technology.

Through a joint development effort, MICRO and the aerospace fastener were able to achieve results that veterans of both industries thought impossible. The partnership yielded a viable, cost-effective manufacturing solution that maintained the integrity of the original design and allowed for the timely introduction of a product with the potential to change the face of aerospace fastening.
