MICRO is a leading supplier of titanium and stainless steel ligating clips thanks to its development of new production processes.

A major healthcare company approached MICRO with the need to develop a titanium ligating clip with a challenging design. The titanium wire used to form the clip was virtually bent back upon itself on a .014” arbor resulting in cracking of the product.

MICRO developed a process whereby each clip is laser zone annealed to a precise temperature which eliminates cracking in the forming operation. Furthermore, each clip has seven dimensions which are 100% optically and functionally tested in-line.

As a result of this and other successful production processes, MICRO has become the leading supplier of titanium and stainless steel ligating clips in the country and has never had a quality issue in the hundreds of millions of clips it has shipped.
