We continuously invest heavily in capital equipment such as DENSO robotics, Noxon take-up systems and a variety of in-house custom engineered systems.Through our continuous improvement programs such as microLean, our lean-manufacturing program, we strive to reduce costs by automating our processes. Thanks to our capital purchases as well as our own designed systems, our machine technicians are able to run multiple processes, improve process and component quality and, ultimately, reduce labor, machine and tooling costs.Through MICRO’s Lean Employee Suggestion program, we have designed and built fully automated part chutes and part-indexing tables for our 18-ton, 30-ton and 60-ton stamping presses. These systems are programmed to index the chutes from position to position upon completion of the part containers. Some are designed with eight separate container positions to fully optimize process efficiencies.
