MD&M East Show Returns to New York
After residing the past two years in Philadelphia, this year’s Medical Device & Manufacturing East trade show moved back to New York City. The show was moved to Philadelphia due to the renovation of the Javits Convention Center in New York.
The newly remodeled Javits Center—nicknamed The Chrystal Palace—has been vastly improved. Ceiling tents, rubber hoses, and catch basin barrels (for numerous leaks in the ceilings) have all been dismantled and removed. The roof was repaired, the whole interior was cleaned and repainted, and all new drop-down lighting fixtures adorn the ceilings.
With over 1200 exhibitors and attendance up 15% this year, the return to New York was welcomed by all. At the three day show MICRO exhibited a full range of complete devices, components and assemblies in the booth to attract new business for the company.
Carl Savage, Frank Semcer Jr, Jim Jock and several sales reps manned the booth this year—and discussed MICRO’s capabilities and services with potential new customers. We look forward to returning to New York City next year—as attendee participation and new project discussions were better in New York than in Philadelphia.
