Vacuum Brazing

With more than 40 years of expertise leveraging vacuum oven technology to solve complex customer challenges, MICRO is proud to introduce a newly designed Brazing Room centered around a state-of-the-art AMS 2750 and AWS C3.6M compliant vacuum furnace. Featuring an 18” H x 18”W x 36” D hot zone capable of reaching 2400°F, this recent acquisition significantly expands our capabilities in this specialized technology.
Vacuum brazing is an advanced process that produces high-strength, leak-tight joints for demanding applications. This process enables two primary application advantages:
- The precise joining of dissimilar materials where welding is not an option - such as bonding a carbide pad to a needle drive or metal-to-ceramic assemblies
- The creation of hermetic, vacuum-tight seals for critical components that require liquid-tight performance
Medical devices from several specialties benefit from this capability including:
- Cardiac Ablation
- Electrosurgery
- MIS
- Robotics
- Cardiac Rhythm Management

Vacuum brazing supports
- Complex Instrument Assemblies
- Energy Devices
- Robotics Instruments
MICRO’s ability to process devices in-house prior to brazing allows us to be a one-stop shop from raw material to final brazed assembly – ensuring quality from beginning to end.
